ProfRobert here. Paul is kindly allowing me to guest curate again this week. The political races are heating up, so this week we’ll be looking at namesakes (at least surnamesakes) of U.S. Vice Presidents. In keeping with the theme, nearly all of the Yankees are as obscure as their namesakes. None of the Veeps became President, so we’re including a photo of the namesake as likely useless hint. We’re also going in reverse chronological order that the Veep served. Bonus point if you can name the ex-Veep along with the ex-Yankee.

Monday: None of these men became President, but this one just missed by less than four months. At least no one airbrushed a hat on him, as happened to the pictured pitcher.
