Yankees Player of the Game
The honor goes to Jose Caballero, who hit the walk-off single to win the game.
Better to Remember (Rather than "Better To Forget")
This would have to go to Mike Trout, who, through the series, has played like the Mike Trout of old. Trout loves to play in Yankee Stadium, and this series is proving why.
My Thoughts:
This series has been a rollercoaster with the Yankees winning the first game in a slugfest, followed by a pretty good whooping in the second game, followed by a walk-off winner last night. Max Fried will have the chance to win this series for the Yanks this afternoon.
Pitching will be key as both offenses seem to be heating up, and the Yankees need this series win to ride the momentum from last night's walk-off game. Hopefully, Ben Rice will get the start tomorrow as his platooning seems to have affected him at the plate to some degree. With Max Fried on the mound, the team has to feel good about their chances, and today is not different.
Next Up:
The Angels starter has not been announced as of this writing. The Yankees will send out Max Fried for a series win. First pitch is scheduled for 1:35 PM on YES.
