"A young man from Compton rises to the highest levels of baseball greatness.
Considered one of the classiest baseball players ever, this is Roy White's story, but it's also the story of a unique period in baseball history when the Yankees fell from grace and regained glory and the country dealt with societal changes in many ways."

Key was a huge part of the 93, 94 turnaround. A brilliant signing by stick.
love me some non-tenders
Remember Gene Michael the Yankee GM back then wanted to sign Greg Maddux instead they wound up signing Jimmy Key and the rest is history. I thought Key should have won the Cy Young back in the strike shortened season in 1994. He was the ace of the Yankees rotation that year.
I'll always remember him as the winning pitcher in 1996 WS Game 6, the clincher.
In the pantheon of Yankee great pitchers .... for the casual fan he is way down on the list! Not saying he should be, but memories are short in the world of baseball!
