It is sad that this is just the latest instance of many that demonstrates that the decision making on the Yankees, from the top down, is problematic.

They have an oft-injured player, who is a second baseman, and who they are playing out of position at third base. That's bad enough.

Now we learn that the out-of-position player, forced by the position change to make longer throws, has had problems with his shoulder, not for a day or two, or even a week, but for three weeks.

Three weeks!

This is the same organization that did not feel that Clarke Schmidt's arm discomfort warranted an MRI weeks ago. (He's now heading to Tommy John Surgery.)

This is the same organization that played Anthony Rizzo for weeks after he suffered a concussion. (He never was the same player.)

This list goes on and on...

Ladies and Gentlemen, these are your New York Yankees of today.

Do we know if Chisholm told the team that his shoulder was sore? If he didn't, that's on him. If he did, and they ignored or mistreated him, then it's on the Yankees.

Pathetic. I'm shocked, and it still may happen, that Rizzo didn't sue them. It was 67 days of cross country flights and playing baseball with an undiagnosed concussion and then post-concussion syndrome (may 28 to august 3 2023). He was never the same. They have a history, remember sevy and paxton 2020? Judge rib cage not diagnosed until spring of 2020? Jazz is just next on the list.

Professional athletes play with a slew of bump & bruises, aches, and are rarely at 100% by the time they are well into their season. That being said, there has been enough incidents through the last decade, that what makes up what I refer to as the Yankees Medical Group ('YMG') that has shown they really don't have a clue on what you can play with, and what should sit the player. For a team that now allows beards, has OK'd sweats and tees on planes, their rest studies - all they rigidly insist that need to be adhered to, you just gotta wonder who is really ultimately in charge of YMG. I've always believed and stated here it …

From Compton to the Bronx.jpg

"A young man from Compton rises to the highest levels of baseball greatness.

Considered one of the classiest baseball players ever, this is Roy White's story, but it's also the story of a unique period in baseball history when the Yankees fell from grace and regained glory and the country dealt with societal changes in many ways."
