We will have lots more on this... STAY TUNED...
I'll discuss this also on the DR. Sem Saturday Yankees Show on the North East Streaming Sports Network tomorrow at 7:00 a.m. but, some quick thoughts:
The contract is for five years at $37m per year. YIKES!
I doubt that DeGrom will be healthy enough to earn that contract
I am very glad the Yankees didn't go five years for DeGrom.
I am surprised the Mets got outbid, unless they were smart and also were unwilling to go that many years for him...
The Mets now have lots of available cash to spend on other pitchers or... players.
Does that make Aaron Judge a Mets target?
Will Aaron Judge now sign soon?

deGrom's trend regarding health is not encouraging. Texas paid a lot of money for a pitcher that probably won't be able to pitch 150-175 innings.
inflation rates show little sign of easing in Rangerville
and the owners are setting out a high-priced spread.
after shopping in the middle of the Big Boras' middle infield aisle last off-season,
them Rangers is anted up and betting big again on drawing aces.
Rangers haven't had much luck with starting pitcher's since Nolan Ryan hung up his spikes.
Judge will return as a Yankee by the middle of next week
