Chat at y'all tomorrow afternoon. If Ian cooperates.
Wow. If I'm the Orioles trying to win the game and keep my playoff hopes alive, I walk Judge, set up the DP.
And for Britton they DFA'd Andujar.
Nice catch by Bader!
So Kay, I think, was saying that we are in uncharted territory, with fans hoping to see HR No. 62 at Yankee Stadium.
Because I am a disputatious nit-picker, I note that he is wrong. Roger Maris, after hitting No. 61 in the 4th inning of the last regular season game in 1961, came up two more times. He struck out and popped out to second, the former against Stallard, the latter against the immortal Chet Nichols. What I did not realize until just now is that No. 61 was the sole run in the Yankees' 1-0 win (though the pennant had long been decided at that point).
