Volpe is back in starting lineup.

Wells is benched for showing up Judge yesterday.

Grisham back but dropped in lineup. Slumping Rice bats leadoff.

Dominguez sits.

Right now Boston looks like the better hitting team.

Judge needs to hit like Judge tonight. (Barely hold on to .390 BA!)

that said, do we have any hitter at the moment that any of you would say is truly HOT?

Judge is maintaining his numbers, but we cannot say he is on a hot streak. Belli seems to have cooled slightly.

Goldy still giving quality ABs but he has definitely cooled off

Grish " "

Rice- much like above. maybe needs to think opposite field a bit more, especially vs LHP

Volpe? 2 nice hits tonight. the other AB was very weak. solid numbers, I cannot imagine anyone saying he is hot?

Jazz looking better since being back but hitless tonight

it would be nice if at least 1 guy maybe 2 could be warm to hot most of the time

this Yankee team is legitimately very good!! but BC needs to finish the job!! I see nobody unbeatable, very much including the Dodgers. we need a starter. if I was BC I am adding 2 relievers. one of the reasons to add 2 is that they are the easiest players to add. we definitely need to add a hitter and the hitter should take DJs spot. Peraza is a better backup. he is a better defender and he can pinch run. the Yankees should try very hard to get Ha-Seong Kim from TB

we have VERY few prospects who could possibly be considered untouchable. we also have players on the MLB roster who could be traded in the correct circumstances. in my view we have easily enough trade capital to add 3 players and in my mind probably more

even if the Rays are not clearly out of it they have shown that they will trade players if they like the return. they have made it this far without Kim. i kinda HATE trading in the division, but I think Kim perfectly solves our infield problem

GREAT GG defensive player

Great base runner and base stealer

very good OBP

round hole meet round peg!!! he is $13 million this year with a playe…

I will make my comment about what I saw tonight after I calm down. Teaser: Step 1: Fire Director of Pitching Sam Briend

is step 2 move Blake into Briends job and get a real pitching coach? I can understand some of your frustration, but how can we say Briend and Blake are bad and then reconcile what Rodon, Weaver, and Cruz have done? just to name a few

Rodon had a bad inning, maybe an inning and a half. it happens. Cruz actually looked pretty good and had some bad luck. maybe it they sub defense for DJ after his HR in the 5th, Peraza fields the weak hopper from Story and Cruz gives up zero runs and we still have a 2 run game

if you are going to go with pitchers who cause weak contact, you gotta have good defensive…

I am not counting out the offense yet with 6 outs to go, but if the bats cannot rescue the pitchers today, this will be 3 losses in the last 10 days where the offense has scored 5 or more. despite all of the worries about the pitching, they have been FAR FAR better than that for most of the year
