Rucco and Nelson being mildly unfair to Rizzo, saying he should have charged more aggressively. sorry but that is just a PERFECT seeing eye grounder. perfectly placed to be VERY difficult for either Holmes or Rizzo to field and still tag or throw to the bag

and the perfect seeing eye grounder is BY FAR the most common hit vs Holmes. can one of the experts please tell me wheat Holmes expected results are vs actual results? I feel like base on exit velocity of almost all batted balls against him, he should have EVEN BETTER results than he does

and another SOFT hit, this time a soft liner to center. 2 well placed SOFTLY hit balls and the royal…

I gotta disagree with you. Even if Rizzo can't make a play he did nothing except just stand there. He didn't charge it but did he go towards 2B letting Holmes see he has to go after it. Another bad defensive play by Rizzo. SWB has 38 games left until the trade deadline, is that enough time to convince Cashman & his gang that either Rice or Rumfield are legitimate candidates to replace him or do they have to look outside. Rizzo, in my opinion, his defense has really slipped, and slipped badly these last 2 seasons, even before the spike to the head by Tatis Jr.

well ONE pitch and ONE out, but my expectation is that this would be a bit bumpy since Holmes has not pitched for multiple days

AFTER 40 to 50 years of my wildly unreasonable thoughts (superstitions) coming true WAY WAY TOO often- WHY dont i know better than to write things like the above?? i will chalk this one up to perhaps unconsciously attempting to heat check the Yankees. ya know... could the Yankees be good enough or hot enough to outrun my superstition

Now I'm concerned. I hate going to the so-called pitching formula being implemented.

It shows the DEPTH of this ballclub. It's DEPTH that wins divisions and ultimately wins pennants and championships, because no team can rely on its regular starters being healthy for all 162 games, or have them go for 162 games without a rest, or at the very least, a "DH day".
