Wow…you don’t see a pitcher overpower Soto very often.

Now this is interesting. Strategy at least used to dictate you use your closer in the top of the 9th in a tie game because there can be no save situation for the home team. But I've started wondering if, because of the Manfred Man, you hold your closer back for the 10th because it's more challenging, and the best way to win is to keep the MM from scoring. I wonder what the stats say about each approach.

And that is why maybe you still bring in your closer in the top of the 9th.

Gelof says, "I like Mondays." He went Boomtown on that.

Another Baseball 2024 thing. A guy who can bunt us up, and he doesn't. Result... A DP. Another tried n true old time baseball thing analytics has destroyed for the detriment.

That's why I always say. If they were to replace Aaron Boone with Brad Ausmus, honestly, it would not change the Yankees fortunes one way or the other.

Rodón pulled after 92 basically stress-free pitches? This is Baseball in 2024. 👎👎👎👎👎
