Continuing my four part series...
Jake Cousins 31, RHP Cousins has no options left and is in his first year of arbitration. He was injured the entire season but didn't have his TJS until June so he is likely out until at least July.
Likelihood of keeping his roster spot: 6/10
Fernando Cruz 36, RHP This is his first year of arbitration and he has three options left. After producing a 0.3 WAR he should expect a modest raise from the league minimum.
Likelihood of keeping his roster spot: 8/10
Yerry De Los Santos 28, RHP Produced a 0.3 WAR Has four years of team control and one option year left.
Likelihood of keeping his roster spot: 7/10
Jasson Dominguez 23, OF Has two options left and two years left at the league minimum before his three years of arbitration. He produced a 0.5 WAR but only played in 123 games, losing a lot of playing time when Stanton returned from injury.
Likelihood of keeping his roster spot: 10/10
Camilo Doval 28, RHP The Yankees gave up a lot for him at the trade deadline, but he struggled, producing only a -0.3 WAR. He earned $4.5M in his first year of arbitration. He's expected to get close to $6M next season. He has two options left, but could they non tender him?
Likelihood of keeping his roster spot: 7/10
Scott Effross 32, RHP After producing a -0,2 WAR and spending most of the season in the minors, he should expect a small raise in his first year of arbitration. He has one more option year left.
Likelihood of keeping his roster spot:7/10
JC Escarra 30, C Was the early season feel good story. As the backup catcher, he produced a -0.1 WAR. He has two more options left and is under control for six more seasons.
Likelihood of keeping his roster spot: 5/10
Max Fried 32, LHP First year of a 8/$218M Contract. Produced a 4.5 WAR and was the staff leader all season. In his only October start, he allowed seven runs in three innings against the Blue Jays.
Likelihood of keeping his roster spot: 10/10
Luis Gil 27, RHP Missed most of the season recovering from injury, still produced 1.0 WAR. No Options remaining. This is his first year of arbitration, and he's likely to earn around $3M.
Likelihood of keeping his roster spot: 10/10
Paul Goldschmidt 38, 1B He signed a $12.5M one year contract with the Yankees last offseason. He produced a 1.2 WAR. He still has a solid glove at first, but his years of being a 4.0+ are long gone. He's expected to earn about $7M in free agency, but it's not going to be with the Yankees. Likelihood of keeping his roster spot: 1/10
More tomorrow...
