***

Well, I love a rainy night, but I didn't love this game.

Angels 9

Yankees 4

The game wasn't as close as the score might seem to indicate.

Full recap at 6:00 a.m. tomorrow.

Cole has to be Cole in full flower,

Rodon has to be good and tough and mix it up well

Gil has to be indefatigable

and

Schmidt better get well soon

As poorly as the Yankees have been playing over these past two months, the most amazing thing of all is that the Yankees are STILL in first place.

With how poorly the Yankees played, the Baltimore Orioles SHOULD have pulled away and started running away with the division. But they didn't. That speaks volumes of the state of the game of Major League Baseball today. All of the REALLY GOOD teams are also playing poorly, losing series, and often being swept by teams that are not so good. By having the same exact record as the Yankees, the Orioles have also been playing poorly and have looked awful in a lot of games. Before the Yankees won 2 o…

Paul Yanks starting pitching leaves a lot to be desired Nester,Stroman have been awful Cole hot and cold . Gil on innings count not allowed to go deep in games. Rodon You never no. The relief not much better Dela Cruz looks lost . Cashman didn’t address getting a starter or a lights out closer. Yanks could have gotten Snell. and all he has done is have 2 terrific outings since he has come off of IR. Plus Yanks don’t have a leadoff hitter Ballplayers are not choir boys and yet the Yanks and no one else has signed Bauer. He is being blackballed plain and simple. It certainly appears we fans care a heck of a lot more the…

Blake never understood or clicked with Montgomery, and Gray was an odd duck. He was before this pitching guru group, but Cashman already had the Yankees be anti-FB, but he was a decent pitcher in the road grays, with an ERA of about 3.51 (I worked it out back then), with a pinstripe wearing home ERA of about 7.11, at some point in September 2018. But I hate this anti-FB crap, always have. Oh, what made Monty so much better? Maddux had him basically scrap his cutter for more FB usage.

From Compton to the Bronx.jpg

"A young man from Compton rises to the highest levels of baseball greatness.

Considered one of the classiest baseball players ever, this is Roy White's story, but it's also the story of a unique period in baseball history when the Yankees fell from grace and regained glory and the country dealt with societal changes in many ways."
