The Yankees were just swept by the Marlins.

Since May 30, the once mighty Yankees have gone 25-32.

The team has gone 7-9 since the All-Star Break.

The team had a losing record in June.

The team had a losing record in July.

The team is 0-3 in August.

Will Aaron Boone be the manager tomorrow?

Should he be?

Boone is going nowhere. Cashman is going nowhere. Both should be fired immediately. Cashman put this disaster together and Boone is feeding the flames. BUT, the Yankees make TONS of money for Hal and that’s all he cares about.

Given his taking Chisholm and Coach Chapman to the woodshed on Saturday, Boone is clearly feeling the heat. And it most certainly is being applied.

Cashman’s view is they went all out and gave Boone the pieces he needed to get back on track. The expectations could not be more clear. Right the ship. Catch the Jays. Make a legitimate run at the title. Instead they laid a giant egg. The did it in spectatular, historically bad fashion. Friday’s disgrace was followed by as lifeless performance on Saturday as one is ever likely to see.

Today they looked like a team going through the motions.

Should Boone be fired? Should have happened a loooooong time ago. Even if the troubles…

A lonely, troubling flight to Texas for three against the Rangers. I've read all the speculation below on Boone's fate. Can you imagine losing three to one of the weakest ball clubs in baseball? The players must be feeling some heat as they check their stock portfolios for tomorrow's Wall Street opening. Pardon the sarcasm. Personally, I think Boone will last through the end of the season and will be blowing bubbles in the Yankees dugout on opening day 2026. If he hasn't been fired after this weekend's debacle then Cashman has no intention of making a change. After all that would cast doubt upon his own ability or lack of same to build a ball club. Maybe they're waiting…

Cashman rarely makes a baseball - driven decision. And no way if it will affect him negatively.

He shouldn't be, but he will. I don't think they could beat a top triple A team.

IF Paul would be correct and they want a new manager by game time tomorrow

who is on your list people? who are the possibilities

obvious, Ausmus- this seems to do less than nothing to move the needle

Girardi must be fairly close at hand? that feels like too much of an admission that firing him was a mistake, right?

I do think I like Shelly Duncan

Volpe and Wells and Rice at least played for him. obviously all the players would be sad and maybe frustrated about Boone, but hopefully they make the choice to be professionals. from all I know both Volpe and Wells are considered to be at least somewhat leaders

they could help sell the idea…

"A young man from Compton rises to the highest levels of baseball greatness.

Considered one of the classiest baseball players ever, this is Roy White's story, but it's also the story of a unique period in baseball history when the Yankees fell from grace and regained glory and the country dealt with societal changes in many ways."
