Well, you cannot win them all.

Ever.

Today the Cubs shut down the Yankees winning 5-2.

Tomorrow is the rubber game, the last game before the All-Star Break.

Full recap at 6:00 a.m. from Derek McAdam.

Replying to

i guess you could not use your press credentials to reach out and explain to Bellinger that he never hit 3 HR in any game that you did not attend and get him to leave you tickets for today?)))

I think Cody is quite smart. I think if you explain it he will want you at the game tomorrow and hopefully hit 3 more HR. that would be much better than today

Yesterday, I complimented the Yankees for doing smart things on a much more regular basis in the last week and also pointing out the positive impact of doing smart stuff.

I guess I should have left that unsaid!!

DUMB stuff the Yankees did today

Playing Grisham in CF for the second day in a row when it seems quite clear he is less than reasonably full strength. they wanted him in the lineup yesterday because of the starting pitcher. fine. they have VERY good options for keeping him out of the field

Batting Stanton directly behind Judge! this can work but ONLY when Stanton is almost impossible to get out PERIOD.

Batting Volpe ahead of Wells. i do not car…

"This charming and meticulously researched book will remind you of baseball’s power to change and enrich lives far beyond the diamond."

From Compton to the Bronx.jpg

"A young man from Compton rises to the highest levels of baseball greatness.

Considered one of the classiest baseball players ever, this is Roy White's story, but it's also the story of a unique period in baseball history when the Yankees fell from grace and regained glory and the country dealt with societal changes in many ways."
