The Yankees avoided a 4-game sweep with a 7-2 victory tonight. A cause for celebration? Maybe. (Probably not.) But, they still live and die by the long-ball.

Just a reminder...

  1. We can disagree with the manager, the GM, the players, the owner, a writer, or whomever, but we're not going to call them names. Comments with insults, name calling, and such are deleted.

  2. Swearing is swearing whether one uses initials or not. I'll delete those comments as well.

Carlos Lagrange only went 5 today, and lost - a solo shot he gave up, AA Patriots lost 1-0. With only 63 pitches . I'm guessing he was pulled due to him doing the Tuesday-Sunday thing. 5 IP, BB, 5K

Spencer Jones was a PR/Defensive replacement, R, and flied out in his lone AB.

Replying to

Why DFA him? He still has all his options. Send him down to SWB. If they had sent him down last week, I would've said AA - they were playing Hartford- their manager? Bobby Meacham :)

yet another complaint?

somebody wants to denigrate the victory because the Yankees hit 4 HRs and allowed none?

my glance at the box score informed me that the Yankees had 7 hits, a greater number than garnered by the RSox.
