Quick Hit: Out Hit? Soto-What.

The Rays may have had 14 hits to the Yankees 5. But, the Yankees had 5 runs to their 3. What a game! That's a BIG win!

Meanwhile, through 3 innings, Yamamoto has given up 4 runs, 3 earned, against the Mets. His ERA sits at 5.30. Sometimes, the best signings are the ones you don't make.

I predict that when the Yankees face Yamamoto, that Juan Soto will do very well against him. I noticed that a lot of Yamamoto's strikeouts in Japan, where they play at the level of a AAA league, were batters swinging at pitches out of the strike zone. Soto rarely ever does that, so he will be one of those guys who can hit Yamamoto hard.

AND.....The Baltimore Orioles are ABOUT to lose to the surprising Kansas City Royals (who are pretty good this year!) so the Yankees are about to gain a game on the Orioles in addition to gaining a game on the Rays.

relativity is truly a thing

but amassing wins all through trip is the most elegant approach when the stars are your desired destination.
