Quick Hit: SWEPT. Sox 4, Yanks 1

Luis Severino didn't look good, again. His ERA for 2023 is 6.30.

Remember when everyone believed that Anthony Volpe's swing was fixed because Austin Wells told him something over chicken parm? He went 0-for-7 with five strikeouts today. Yankees fans are so desperate for good news that they're believing the ridiculous. A swing doesn't get fixed over pasta. It's hard to say, I wish I didn't have to say it, but, right now, the kid is over matched. Completely. The one time the Yankees seem determined to give a kid a chance and stick with him no matter what seems like the absolute wrong time to do that.

Harrison Bader might have helped this weekend, or even today, but he needed more time in Double-A. We're told he'll be ready by Tuesday.

Aaron Judge's return is far away. No one knows when it'll be. It's all a mystery.

The Yankees have won 39 games this year. The Red Sox... 38.

Full recap from the doubleheader in the morning from Tim Kabel.

The Least Among Them.png

"This charming and meticulously researched book will remind you of baseball’s power to change and enrich lives far beyond the diamond."

From Compton to the Bronx.jpg

"A young man from Compton rises to the highest levels of baseball greatness.

Considered one of the classiest baseball players ever, this is Roy White's story, but it's also the story of a unique period in baseball history when the Yankees fell from grace and regained glory and the country dealt with societal changes in many ways."
