The Yankees showed the Mets who was the boss, for the first game of the series, at least.

Carlos Rodon battled to get through five innings. He gets the win (5-2 on the year).

Aaron Judge had two more hits.

Juan Soto walked three times, but he goes 0-for-2 and makes the game's last out.

Cody Bellinger has three hits.

Paul Goldschmidt had two hits.

Luke Weaver gets the save.

Be kind.

Don't gloat. It's unbecoming.

Stand tall and with dignity.

what are your thoughts about Rodon?

is it acceptance of the need to use the change-up and even an occasional slow curve that is making him more effective, or do you see something that a non-pitcher fails to see?

Boy, anyone who predicted a Mets sweep must feel like an UTTER MORON now. If I did that, I'd be too embarrassed to appear in public.

first time a ever met a cow, I was 4 and was at the zoo near my Bronx home.

a guy was going to demonstrate his milking technique and invited us all to gather around the floor was nice and clean and made of concrete.

the cow decided to preface the milking exhibition by emptying her bladder....... forcefully.

I got hit with some of the splatter.

I do get harsh

From Compton to the Bronx.jpg

"A young man from Compton rises to the highest levels of baseball greatness.

Considered one of the classiest baseball players ever, this is Roy White's story, but it's also the story of a unique period in baseball history when the Yankees fell from grace and regained glory and the country dealt with societal changes in many ways."
