Amazingly, with all their flaws and their warts, the Yankees still have to BEST record in the American League! Right now, on September 8! So they have just as much of a chance of making it to the World Series as any of the other American League teams....who also have plenty of flaws.
The Yankees have scored a total of 6 runs in this series 3 on Friday 2 on Saturday and one today. Is the Yankees offense have reasons for concern here. Was it the Cubs pitching or the wind blowing in that cause the offense to sputtered.
Not all the Giants haven't fared any better. The Giants (San Francisco) defeated the Padres 7 - 6 in San Diego.
Torres may have turned himself into a decent leadoff hitter for 2024, too bad his defense is still a major issue, and it cost them today.
