Volpe had a bad day in the field, and another on the bases. Since he really doesn't run anymore, stop the dancing so far off the bag. Schmidt struggled all day, and he didn't have enough left in his arm or in his head to survive the non-error in the 5th. The way they changed the rules, but since if they would rule in the Yankees favor, you knew that was not going to be interference. I'm so sick of it. A pitcher can fall down smack on the plate without the ball even being thrown to him yet, but its not called blocking the plate. How is sliding straight in on an automatic DP try with his ar…
