Anthony Volpe is set to complete his official rehab stint today. After today, the Yankees either need to add him to the MLB roster or use one of his minor league options to officially send him to the minors on a more permanent basis. Jose Caballero has been scorching hot of late, while some others around the infield have struggled. With that in mind, how would you answer the below:
If you were the Yankees' Manager/GM, how would you handle the infield as of Monday? Would Volpe be on the big league roster or playing everyday in AAA? How would you use Jose Caballero?
Discuss in the comments below!

ESPN.com reports that the Yankees have optioned Volpe to Scranton. An interesting note: The article says if he stays down for at least 20 days, it would delay his free agency by a year to after 2029.
So why not just start him if he is playing that well that he threatens the jobs of other infielders and by the way isnt his defense better than Volpe? Correct me if i am wrong.
From April 11 through May 2, Caballero's OPS is .905. Unless they are ready to move him to 3B, Volpe needs to stay in AAA.
I do not think there is an answer here that is obvious or wrong
I think despite the absence of a clearly right or wrong move, there will be fans who are immensely bothered no matter what course is chosen
if they decide to give Volpe some extra time in AAA to work, I dont think that would be a terrible thing. I would very much hope that he would take the same awesome attitude that Jdom has had and use the time to work and get better!!
that said, for me personally, I believe that the difference between the 2 at SS is very minimal, and Caballero provides more value as someone who can provide above average defense at…
Even though I use oven mitts, I believe in the hot hand. Caby is probably not going to keep playing this well, so I'd stay with him until he cools off.
