Hello Readers.

Please share your thoughts on this week's topic:

Based on how the Yankees have addressed the team this offseason, do you see yourself going to more, less, or the same amount of games at Yankee Stadium?

Similarly, will you be watching more, fewer, or about the same amount of games as past seasons? ***

I'm in Indiana, so it's a 3 hour drive to Cincy to catch a game. I don't expect I'll be watching fewer games, but if the opportunity presented itself I'd be sorely tempted to pass.

If you're 3 hours from Cincinnati, would Chicago be closer (especially since the Yankees go to New Comiskey, or whatever it's called these day, every season)?

As a Yankees, Pirates and A's fan, I'll watch the same amount of baseball that I usually watch each season. I may watch a few more Red Sox and Blue Jays games that I normally do as well. What the Yankees do or don't do in the off season doesn't really change my polarity in terms of games that I watch. What changes my consumption of baseball is whether or not I can access the content. So in that regard I'll probably watch less and less actual Yankees games because they're getting harder and harder to watch due to the various Networks that they air the games on.

As far as going to games in person, I've grown a lot…

What, Cary, you couldn't find an NL West team from the old four-Division days to root for too? 😀

I’ve moved to Charlotte NC but I go back home to NYC at least once a year and I usually go to a game or two. I sold my tickets for the games this year. Not giving my money to him anymore. I know it’s less than a drop in the bucket but it makes me feel better.

Living in Pennsylvania I don't get to games anyway, so my participation is mostly watching games on MLB app (bought almost solely for Yankee games), buying my annual Yankee hat in the Spring, writing on the blog, reading any good Yankee content I can find, and razzing my family members who are Red Sox fans. No changes there. Maybe I'd think differently if I was putting the money down for games. Digging a bit deeper, Yankee fandom and my routines have been too special for too long for me to change based on frustration with the team's management (which I do have). So, even if the Yanks do nothing else, I'll be lining up and excited about Aaron Judge, Max…

I have and will continue to watch fewer games in 2026! The Yankees ownership is taking their fan base for granted. As ownership becomes less invested in putting the best product on the field as a fan, I also have become less invested........ in watching this team!

"A young man from Compton rises to the highest levels of baseball greatness.

Considered one of the classiest baseball players ever, this is Roy White's story, but it's also the story of a unique period in baseball history when the Yankees fell from grace and regained glory and the country dealt with societal changes in many ways."
