The Yankees exploded for 13 runs in the 3rd inning of the game yesterday.
Here is how that inning shook out:
Anthony Volpe Single
Anthony Volpe Stolen Base
Max Schuemann Walk
Austin Wells Walk
Paul Goldschmidt Single (1 run)
Ben Rice Double (2 Runs)
Aaron Judge Single (1 run)
Cody Bellinger Single
Jose Caballero Walk (1 run)
Trent Grisham Single (2 runs)
Jose Caballero and Trent Grisham Double Steal
Anthony Volpe Single (1 Run)
Anthony Volpe Stolen Base
Max Schuemann Single (2 Runs)
Austin Wells Walk
Paul Goldschmidt Strikeout
Ben Rice Triple (2 Runs)
Aaron Judge Strikeout
Cody Bellinger Single (1 Run)
Jose Caballero Single
Trent Grisham Fly Out

The Yankees scored all their runs and all of their hit in that 3rd inning. Nothing before the 3rd and Nothing after the 3rd. Sometimes baseball can be a weird game.
The funniest stat tha YES came up with after this inning was that Warren gets 8.94 run support a game, while Weathers gets only 2.95. But in 2026 Weathers gives up lots of HRs, while Warren has cut those down.
305 runs scored in 59 games
5.17 runs per
it aint 6 per but 5 is better than nothin'.
gotta get it up to 6 per...and that may require some muscle from Judge.
~~~~~~
on thother hand, Yankee defense is allowing 3.5 runs/game
and that must decrease, go down to 3 per allowed.
