The Yankees Through 1/4 of the Season:

The Yankees recently completed their 40th game of the season. Actually there was a doubleheader so they’ve passed the 1/4 mark.

They have cemented their place as one of the sport’s elite teams this year. Their pitching is establishing itself as one of the best. Along with a powerful offense and premium defense, they have become the second highest favorite to win the World Series, behind only the Dodgers.

Some of the best performers over the past 20 games include Aaron Judge, Giancarlo Stanton, Josh Donaldson, Clay Holmes, Nestor Cortes, and Jameson Taillon.

The team has been relatively healthy all season, however some recent injuries have developed. 2 of them are season ending Tommy John injuries. Nagging wrist, calf, and Achilles have been announced which could linger for awhile. Notice the K/9 rate.

This is the first adversity they are facing this year. We will see how they overcome this.

Please continue to follow along all season as we track the progress on the Yankees March towards 28.

From Compton to the Bronx.jpg

"A young man from Compton rises to the highest levels of baseball greatness.

Considered one of the classiest baseball players ever, this is Roy White's story, but it's also the story of a unique period in baseball history when the Yankees fell from grace and regained glory and the country dealt with societal changes in many ways."
