Yankees and the Hall of Fame: Bobby Murcer

I am reviewing the credentials of a ton of former Yankees and highlighting their careers. Many of their accomplishments have been forgotten.
Even if some are not future Hall of Famers, it's good to remember what they did accomplish.
Together, we can discuss if we believe that they are deserving of being included in the Hall Of Fame or not. I hope you read along and give me your opinions.
Today we are going to be looking at...
Bobby Murcer:
He played for three teams during his 17 year career
13 of those seasons were with the Yankees
He lost two full seasons while active in the military during the Vietnam War
He was a five time all star and won a Gold Glove
His career WAR was 32.1, with three seasons of 5.0+ WAR
He was the only player to be teammates with both Mickey Mantle and Don Mattingly
He received only three votes in 1989, his only year on the ballot.
After his playing days, he spent almost 25 years in the broadcast booth. He wasn't retired yet when he passed away.
Very good player, but not a Hall of Famer. And his 25 years of broadcasting after his playing days doesn't help him get to the Hall either in my mind.
