2020 MLB Trade Deadline Open Thread:

We will list the trades and such as they happen!

Yankees News:

10:00 AM: Nothing. So far…

3:00 PM: Okay, 6 hours has gone by. I was hoping to add something here. Did Cashman take a really long nap this morning? I hope he’s up now.

3:25 PM: So many interesting names still out there: Whit Merrifield (KCR) and Archie Bradley (ARI) are two players I’m interested to see if they’ll move. Joey Gallo? Lance Lynn? I know this isn’t Yankees news, but this section seemed too dull.

4:00 PM: Brian Cashman is trusting the system. Unless….?

4:10 PM: Brian Cashman did not make any moves. [Feinsand]

Yankees Rumors:

10:00 AM: Will update throughout the day, nothing in the early morning going on yet

10:10 AM: Yankees a team still involved with Indians on RHP Mike Clevinger sweepstakes, alongside Padres, White Sox, and Blue Jays [Nightengale]

10:20 AM: Yankees and Brewers have had little traction on a potential trade for LHP Josh Hader. Seems unlikely at this point [Heyman]

10:35 AM: Yankees have been linked to INF Jonathan Villar of the Miami Marlins. Has experience in AL East, provides infield back-up and speed. [Frisaro]

10:45 AM: Blue Jays seem to be out of Clevinger sweepstakes, but also no mention of Yankees interest against Padres, Braves, and White Sox. [Heyman] Indians seem to have price set around Drew Waters (ATL, OF, #27 MLB prospect) or alike. [Morosi talking on MLB Network]

10:50 AM: On MLB Network, Jon Morosi listed INF/OF Miguel Andujar as one of the most likely Yankees to be dealt for a starting pitcher before the deadline. Listed Rangers’ Lance Lynn and Diamondbacks’ Robbie Ray as options.

12:50 PM: Wow. Ever since the Clevinger deal there haven’t been many rumors coming out anymore. At least I had a time to make a good lunch of an onion, pepper, and cheese omelette.

12:50 PM: Yankees and Diamonbacks still talking. One name to think about is former Yankee minor leaguer and current MLB pitcher: Taylor Widener. [Kuty]

2:30 PM: Yankees weren’t willing to include Deivi in a trade for Clevinger. Bauer isn’t for trade, Clevinger (and Minor and Ray) are gone. Other starting pitchers available seem to be Dylan Bundy (LAA), Lance Lynn (TEX), and Kevin Gausman. [Goodman]

2:30 PM: Texas Rangers want Deivi for Lynn. Hard to think that gets done if they didn’t include him for Clevinger. [Sullivan]

3:20 PM: Yankees talking on Kevin Gausman still. Is there even anything interesting about that? [Heyman]

3:45 PM: Brian Cashman has been in talks about relief pitching and position players. No mention of starting pitching. Can he make something happen with 15 minutes to go? [Kuty]

From Compton to the Bronx.jpg

"A young man from Compton rises to the highest levels of baseball greatness.

Considered one of the classiest baseball players ever, this is Roy White's story, but it's also the story of a unique period in baseball history when the Yankees fell from grace and regained glory and the country dealt with societal changes in many ways."
