About The Season: Opening Day and Predictions

As the new season dawns, I will start off with a few predictions and my poem, which STN has graciously allowed me to post on Opening Day for the past two years.

Predictions:

•        The Yankees will win 100 games, the American League East, and the World Series.  

•        The Yankees will struggle early in the season, and Aaron Boone will be replaced as manager by Brad Ausmus.
  

•        Aaron Judge will hit at least fifty home runs.  

•        Shohei Ohtani will be suspended at some point during the season.  

•        Juan Soto will hit at least forty home runs.  

•        Giancarlo Stanton will be traded at some point during the season.  

•       Clayton Beeter will become an important member of the Yankees’ bullpen.  

•        Anthony Rizzo will win Comeback Player of the Year.  

•        Gerrit Cole will return to form after he comes off the IL and will lead the Yankees down the stretch.  

•        Austin Wells will win the American League Rookie of the Year.  

•        Jasson Dominguez will return earlier than expected, in May, and will become the regular center fielder, leading to the trade of Giancarlo Stanton.  

•        Aaron Judge will win the American League Most Valuable Player Award.

As you get ready to watch this afternoon's game, have some fun with those predictions.
