Game 119: Texas (55-62) vs New York (68-48)

DISGUSTING: Yankees need to win today to have winning record in a 9 game homestand -- all of which were against losing teams.

You do not get far by losing a well pitched game by your ace.

Chasing history: Storman is terrible in the 2nd half of seasons.

Haney has an under 4 ERA -- he couldn't get anyone out as a Yankee.

Volpe's hot post-ASG streak is over.

TEXAS

Smith, DH -- .270

Seager, SS -- .273

Semien, 2B -- .244

Jung, 3B -- .291

Langford, LF -- .243

Lowe, 1B -- .264

Garcia, RF -- .217

Taveras, CF -- .228

Kelly, C -- .240

Haney, P -- 4-11, 3.98

NEW YORK

Verdugo, LF -- .239 (91)

Soto, RF -- .303 (184)

Judge, CF -- .323 (215)

Stanton, DH -- .245 (120)

Wells, C -- .251 (118)

Torres, 2B -- .237 (90)

Chisholm, 3B -- .300 (202)

Volpe, SS -- .252 (96)

LeMahieu, 1B --- .189 (53)

Stroman, P -- 7-6, 4.10

CAN YOU IMAGINE.......With Juan Soto, Aaron Judge, and Giancarlo Stanton all hitting those giant monster homeruns today...............What is going to happen when this Yankee team plays in Historic Bowman Field in Williamsport, Pennsylvania on Sunday, August 18?? This tiny Single-A ballpark only seats 2,366 fans. Can you imagine how far out of this tiny little ballpark Soto, Judge, and Stanton are going to hit baseballs against any Detroit Tiger pitcher NOT named Skubal?

From Compton to the Bronx.jpg

"A young man from Compton rises to the highest levels of baseball greatness.

Considered one of the classiest baseball players ever, this is Roy White's story, but it's also the story of a unique period in baseball history when the Yankees fell from grace and regained glory and the country dealt with societal changes in many ways."
