OK I would pinch hit Rice here. I know he's the emergency C but you still have Cabrera in reserve if Wells gets hurt.

If Rice is not going to be used in that situation he should not be on the team. DJLM's experience counts for a lot less than his current performance or lack of same.

but he doesn't know how to consistently contribute to the offense.
