Last night game of the regular season.

Is Slater playing for a post-season roster spot?

Is Stanton heating up for the playoffs?

Is Judge cementing a batting title? Leads Wilson by 17 pts and Bichette by 19 pts.

bummer the rays had multiple runners on in the top of 9 but could not get the tying run across!!

I do not have a clear idea what I am hoping will happen in the detroit vs boston series. I feel rather clear I would prefer not to play vs Skubal in a 3 game wild card series

Chat at y'all tomorrow afternoon. (At least the Yankees had enough sense to NOT schedule the game The Dawgs!)

everyone recall last year after the Yankee postseason spot was locked in and the Yankees, apparently with Judge's approval, decided Judge should rest when he was on a multi game HR streak? I believe he had homered in 5 straight games

and they decided sitting was the wise move when he was within a couple HRs of being the only clean player with multiple 60 HR seasons and a chance for an 11 WAR season

the Mariners have absolutely nothing to play for, playing the Dodgers who also have nothing to play for and will absolutely not use any of their best starters.

will the Mariners sit Raliegh for any of the last 3 games? i guarantee they do not!!

I would really like to see the difference in stats of closers in save situations. Vs closers in non save situations. It’s just seems like there would be a large delta. But maybe it is not actually statistically supported

i would guess you are correct. i would also guess some closers handle it better than others.

regarding Bednar, I have said it a few times. he seems like a boxer who needs to get punched in the face before he gets fully engaged- kinda Rocky Balboa style
