he is VERY OBVIOUSLY in one of his streaks where he is damn near untouchable. gotta know he will also have another stretch at some point where he struggles with locating his pitches because they move so much

all in all i am a big fan of Holmes and I think he does not get even close to the amount of recognition that he deserves

but he does have his streaks. i do think most of his troubles are due to the difficulty of consistently locating his pitches that move so much

At what point, do the Yankees take a real stand about The Judge Strike Zone?

I think Giancarlo Stanton has the same unfair strike zone, since he and Judge are of similar build, and are very similar hitters.

First and second, nobody out, RE 1.373. Yanks get 0 (though Trevino's line out to right was hit hard).

except that it's unlikely to be Tonkin given that better relievers will soon come marching in.

as for expectancy, I'm reminded of the old saw about wishes in one hand

and I would like to point out that teams with pitching staffs that sport an ERA 0f 3

and a line-up that averages 4.5

generally do well

especially when they may reasonably expect both the pitching and hitting to improve
