lost in the JDom 3HR game and another offensive eruption is Goldy going yard vs RHP.

should we sit him against some tough RHP? sure, but that is HUGELY influenced by the fact that we have so many excellent LH bats that it is hard to keep them all in the lineup

should we say that he is bad vs RHP? power stats are definitely low! but his BA is very meaningfully above average hitting vs RHP

I think if we did not have so many LH bats, I think there would be little reason to feel bad about him getting very regular ABs vs RHP

you've got a fine understanding of it all and I would not say otherwise.

I've been even more of a proponent for pushing Dominguez along than has been our good Andy Singer, but I think that we all must admit that the Yankees brought him to the Bronx with great haste simply because he has great talent and the team was in need of a lefty power hitter.

a shortened stay on the farm, and then a couple of lengthy stays on the IL. the kid entered this season with a couple of rough edges still needing to be smoothed.

and it has been apparent that the organization's management has been determined to see that they get smooth.
