I learned two things onight:

1) Yankees have trouble against good pitching.

2) Webber doesn't belong in the majors

Well, maybe I re-learned.

87 pitches. He got a strike on the last guy, then four straight balls.

And that's the ball game.

Lost one game because of a Cole meltdown. Lose another because of a Marinacchio meltdown. They are always going to find a way to lose to the best teams.

Boone's over managing is the culprit here

Pretty sure German couldn't have done much worse than that.

What's wrong with letting German finish out the inning? Its the bottom of the order coming up and he's only thrown 87 pitches. This is representative of the crapification of baseball due to bullpen bloat and over reliance on relief pitching. And no, I don't care if it works or not.

How do you know he was gassed? I mean were you there in Yankee Stadium on the mound speaking to him? Do you have telepathic abilities? Was he "gassed" when he walked two other guys earlier in the game?

The move was completely unnecessary. Don't try to fix what isn't broken. But Boone just can't resist.
