You just have to tip your cap to Castillo and their bullpen. I thought Weathers was pretty good but threw too many pitches that's why he pitched only 4 and a 1/3 innings of one run ball.

that said, Seattle has been a top notch pitching team for several years now and a smart manager goes into it expecting a tight low scoring game. in that scenario, you have to plan to hold back some of your best arms

Cruz threw just 11 pitches. can you let him come back out next inning? I think Bird could have come back out. no question Doval could have come back out after just 2 pitches

that said now that he saved pitches for basically all of the pen and has Fried starting tomorrow, tomorrow is must win.…

They had Bednar up last inning. Why not bring him in to face Raleigh? I mean, this is the game right here. Worry about Yarbrough in the 10th once you get there. Anyone can look like an MVP against Slackburned.
