Tonks going for the 1970s Clay Carroll-style 3-inning save . . .

. . . but one more base runner and it becomes a regular save situation.

Kahnle looked DOMINANT in his rehab appearance.

Marianaccio looked good closing out game 2 today for SWB.

Meredith sounds good on subbing for Suzun on the radio, but Shakil doesn't shut up, giving her limited opportunities.

Too many prospects still struggling, and the coaching doesn't help.

So the Yankees have 7 straight Quality Starts. I found a story about the Pirates having 8 last year, but I can't find the all-time team record. Anyone know it?

I don't remember. It's such a garbage stat that nobody seems to keep track of it other than individually (found a bazillion stories about Framber Valdez's 25-QS streak).

Ooof. I feel bad for Trevino there. "Missed it by that much."

"A young man from Compton rises to the highest levels of baseball greatness.

Considered one of the classiest baseball players ever, this is Roy White's story, but it's also the story of a unique period in baseball history when the Yankees fell from grace and regained glory and the country dealt with societal changes in many ways."
