I know everyone hates the Ghost Runner, but how much more interesting is Bader's PA with the runner on second, no outs, instead of the old rule where he's just leading off, trying to get on?

you offering a concentrates the mind wonderfully argument?

not sure that introduction of an element rather foreign to a game meant to be placed at a more leisurely pace is other than incongruent.

we might live at a faster pace, and a shortening of extended games might seem suitable to fast times as well as supportive of pitcher health, but if we wish games to be summarily executed why not rule out overtime rather than opt for sudden death?

knowing that games will be declared to be recorded as ending without a winner after 9 (or 10 or 11) might work as well or as poorly.
