cannot say I am thrilled seeing Weaver coming in with a 4 run lead. we couldnt let Leiter see if he could get a quick inning?

have you given any thought to the idea that they want all their top relievers tuned up by Wednesday?

seems to me using Weaver tonight also indicates that they're again pretty comfortable with using Williams to close, (at least against the Angels.)

they might wish to have both Williams and Weaver throw an inning on Wednesday and have them both ready for Friday

well, I am moron for saying this, but nobody ever accused me of being too smart. anyone else feeling a teeny tiny bit queezy that they are bringing Leiter in with a 4 run lead?

i guess I would have to disagree with you on that (rare for us). Leiter has ERA over a run lower than Hill. and over 30 Ks in 22 innings. I am not sure anyone who considers themselves a smart baseball person thinks of Leiter as bad

I also like HIll. i think both are good, even very good. Hill has had a bit of trouble with giving up homers lately

Leiter has given up a few too many BBs and gets killed by VERY weak contact. as long as he does not combine the BBs and the weak hits in the same inning, he does very well. my nerves were more from the strange scenario where we have lo…
