Game 56: Yanks (35-20) vs Dodgers (34-22)

Dominquez sits -- seems to me he and Rice sit more than the others.

Wells was supposed to be the catcher who could hit, but not that great behind the plate. Talk about backwards.

DJ gets night off.

Will the Yanks be too tired from the long trip from LA to LA?

broadcasters have made indications that we have not played clean again. i cannot think of anything costly. the most costly thing was Wells dropping strike one to Ohtani in the 6th getting it called a ball and eventually forcing Fried to give in a bit and that ignited the LAD rally

hopefully Volpe is motivated for the next 2 days or even better for the rest of the season when he looks back at his extremely meak performance at the plate tonight. he had a chance to put a BIG amount of heat on LAD in the first and did not. worse since

the Dodgers have not missed their chances to do damage

by no means saying Volpe is the only one to miss an opportunity. both Belli and Goldy missed the chance to bring Judge home with the tying run in the 7th.

and now that Wells struck out, I'm becoming less communicative

Judge and Ohtani get loads of attention. of course they deserve it. but Freedie Freeman is the person singlehandedly responsible for the difference in the games. do we think he may have been offended by the Yanks lack of interest? he is killing us in EVERY possible way
