Game 75: Orioles (47-24) vs Yanks (50-24)

The cracks are showing!! Is this the start of the Yanks second half swoon again? Last 10 games, 5-5, bullpen 5.82 ERA.

Injury day!!! Besides Rizzzo, Hamilton (right lat strain) and Poteet (right triceps strain) are added to IL.

LHPs Clayton Andrews and Anthony Misiewicz added to roster.

I'm still counting 41 on the 40 Man Roster. Not sure what's happening there.

Yanks simply must play better than they did in 4 game set in Baltimore earlier.

Rice added to roster. If he has nieces or nephews then he's Uncle Ben Rice!

This reminds me too much of the time Jacob Junis of the Royals broke Judge's hand, also while Judge was having an amazing season up to that point. I just hope it isn't broken.

I don't know whether to he happy or unhappy. Happy the Yankees won or unhappy about Judge being injured.

You're right. I am still figuratively holding my breath until the results of Judge's imaging are announced.

Holmes again makes it interesting,

but a fine play by Torres restoreth my confidence

Holding my breath on the Judge injury. If his hand is fractured we're looking at 8 weeks. Then he would have to get his timing back. In effect, he's not really back until September.

True. Needs to get his grip strength back, too.

Dillon Tate. The price the Yankees had to pay the Orioles to get Zack Britton.

Today's players stand way too close to the plate, and have immovable legs. If guys like Rizzo didn't just get first base by standing there without attempting move, maybe guys like Betts and Judge wouldn't get hit. Just my opinion.
