Boone is having Cabrera pinch-hit for Trevino instead of Torres???

Three pitches, three strikes, and he's out. I'm thinking Trevino could have done that.

So either a) bat Torres, or b) bat Trevino and pinch run for him if he got on. Batting Cabrera against a righty made no sense.

P.S. Trevino 2023 OPS vs. righties, .515; Cabrera, .502. Foolish choice.

Volpe has two hits so far, and has hit the ball HARD every time up.

McKinney went after that foul ball thinking it was fair. What a refreshing reversal from the Hicks Era. Or should I say, the Hicks Error?

I got on the mound

Down in old Oakland

Where they're in last place

And the fans are like oh, so-so, man

He walked on to first

And proceeded to dance

Trevino tossed down

And he was picked off

Oh, Noda, N-O-D-A, Noda

No, no, no, no, Noda

(with apologies to Ray Davies)
