Caught the last 2 innings . The umpire calling balls and strikes doesn’t have a clue. Trevino had at least 2 pitches that weren’t even close called strikes. He would have walked. Then old faithful Torres who doesn’t have a clue about the strike zone swings at one way low and away with the count of 2and 0 If he takes one strike he walks. Many games watched in the last 2 innings it seems the Umps widen the strike zone no matter the score

You think Ben Rice wants to be the 1B, no questions asked?

If given a choice, he would have chosen to be the Catcher, but he is just happy to be playing in the majors in any capacity.

I watched the 1st inning of G2 of SWB. Brubaker did OK. But he got pulled after the 1st inning, do is he hurt or getting time on the bump on Sunday, the kast playing day of his rehab assignment.

Interesting that Brubaker is starting when the plan was to make him a reliever. But he was a starter all throughout his previous time in the majors with the Pirates, so who knows? With some of the Yankee starters severely struggling right now, Brubaker may just become a starter after all. He might be an upgrade over Rodon the way Rodon has been pitching lately.
