Weird series. Yankees 2-0 against the .500 O's, but lose the one game to the under .500 O's.

Just checking in from a bistro on the Place Trocadero. It amazes me that I can follow a baseball game play-by-play in real time in the palm of my hand. 50 years ago, when I first visited Paris, I had to get my parents to buy an International Herald Tribune to get the ball scores from not the previous day, but from the day before that. Remarkable what technology has brought.

The Least Among Them.png

—Jonathan Eig, New York Times best-selling author of Luckiest Man, Opening Day, and Ali: A Life

From Compton to the Bronx.jpg

"A young man from Compton rises to the highest levels of baseball greatness.

Considered one of the classiest baseball players ever, this is Roy White's story, but it's also the story of a unique period in baseball history when the Yankees fell from grace and regained glory and the country dealt with societal changes in many ways."
