Yankees Lineup:

Mariners Lineup:

Of note, there was talk of the home plate umpire doing poorly last night. Here is his scorecard:

yea that is STUPID!! there is NO way that is a hit

2b fields the ball in plenty of time to throw the batter out before he reaches 1b and the pitcher and 1bmen have a conundrum about how to cover the bag. you bet that is the perfect definition of a hit

So you get two offers of more money than you'll ever need, but one offer means you have to work a year longer and get paid a bit less. You're really going to take that offer?

Especially when the other offer means you have a shorter drive to and from the airport?

Weaver strikes out the side!

Yankee pitching held the Mariners to 1 ER in 20 IP -- and the hitters still managed to lose one of those games.
