Ethan Semendinger shares some of what he is thankful for.
On this Thanksgiving, I am thankful for family. I am thankful that I have been able to spend quality time with my parents, that I have ways to communicate and play with my brothers remotely, and that we’ve been safe enough to see each other today.
On this Thanksgiving, I am thankful for friends. I am thankful that my hometown friends have all been safe as some ventured back to college and others stayed home. I am thankful that my college friends did the same. I am thankful that we didn’t let our situation prevent us from keeping in touch.
On this Thanksgiving, I am thankful to our first responders and military. With everything going on it became a harder burden on them than I with taking careful steps and precautions. They keep our communities safe, clean, and respectful and they earn our respect.
On this Thanksgiving, I am thankful for faith. I am thankful to my God for always listening even when not in prayer. I am thankful that I have a connection to something bigger than myself to keep me grounded.
On this Thanksgiving, I am thankful for baseball. I am thankful that I root for the best franchise in sports. I am thankful that they provided entertainment this past year. I am also hopeful there is a way to play a full season in 2021.
On this Thanksgiving, I am thankful for the writers of this blog. A project my Dad and I took on 3 years ago has flourished into a legitimate board for Yankees and Baseball news. Without the many posts written by everybody, we wouldn’t be where we are today.
On this Thanksgiving, I am thankful for the readers of this blog. Thank you for trusting our insight, reporting, and analysis. Thank you for respectful debate and engaging conversation. I only hope for more.
On this Thanksgiving, I am thankful.
