It’s the Strat Time of Year!
Though we endure another cold winter and perhaps another extended labor stoppage, fans’ longing for baseball continues. For over sixty years, many have turned to Strat-O-Matic for their “fix”.
This is the time of the year Strat announces their new releases. On the plate for 2022:
The 2021 season – board and computer game The 1947 season – board and computer game The 1986 season – board and computer game 1960s Diamond Gems: Great teams of the 1960s – two sets for the board
The 1947 season of course is historically significant due to Jackie Robinson’s debut in Brooklyn. It was a fine year for the Yanks, as they left the American League in the dust, winning the flag by twelve games. They culminated with a win in a Subway Series over the Dodgers.
The 1986 season was one of those mid-80s seasons that started with such promise for Yankee fans, only to fall short again due to poor pitching. To add insult to injury, that year’s World Series consisted of the Boston Red Sox and New York Mets! Can you get more out of the Yanks than Lou Piniella?
Want to see history on your dining room table? Want to see the M&M Boys pound opponents with the longball? How about firing Aaron Boone and replaying the 2021 season with YOURSELF as Yankee manager?
