My Hall of Fame Ballot by Lincoln Mitchell

My Hall of Fame Ballot

Here is my Hall of Fame ballot:

Barry Bonds-The greatest player of my lifetime. He excelled in the PED era before he started using. He used PEDs at a time when many players did and MLB either encouraged it or turned a blind eye for the first few years.

Roger Clemens-A similar candidacy to Bonds-the dominant pitcher of his era who proved his greatness before using PEDs.

Scott Rolen-One of the greatest third basemen ever. However, I remain appalled at how Graig Nettles has been ignored by the Hall of Fame voters.

Andruw Jones-Jones was a wonderful combination of power and defense who is among the greatest centerfielders ever.

Manny Ramirez-There are a lot of great sluggers on this ballot who were surrounded by PED accusations. I am not voting for all of them, but Ramirez was the best of them.

Andy Pettitte-I have come around to Pettitte as a Hall of Famer. He was an excellent pitcher for many years who was even better in the post-season.

Tim Lincecum-He did not have a Hall of Fame career, but had a Hall of Fame peak. The Freak was also one of the coolest guys ever to be a big league star.

"This charming and meticulously researched book will remind you of baseball’s power to change and enrich lives far beyond the diamond."

From Compton to the Bronx.jpg

"A young man from Compton rises to the highest levels of baseball greatness.

Considered one of the classiest baseball players ever, this is Roy White's story, but it's also the story of a unique period in baseball history when the Yankees fell from grace and regained glory and the country dealt with societal changes in many ways."
