My Thoughts - Aaron Judge is great. He is becoming an inner-circle Hall of Famer. He might be one of the top four Yankees hitters of all time. The accolades almost cannot be enough, but...
To say "Yankees History" here is disingenuous at best. They only started the Silver Slugger Award in 1980.
Bob Meusel, Wally Schang, Bill Dickey, George Selkirk, Yogi Berra, Charlie Keller, Nick Etten, Snuffy Stirnweiss, Tommy Henrich, Elston Howard, Moose Skowron, Thurman Munson, Roger Maris, Bobby Murcer, Roy White, Bobby Bonds, Johnny Blanchard, Hank Bauer, Lou Gehrig, (most of) Reggie Jackson and Graig Nettles, Mickey Mantle, and Babe Ruth , among others, never had a chance to even win that award because it didn't even exist.
My Thoughts - Yankees players are winning awards.
My Thoughts - Why? Why? Robert is a .223 hitter over the last two seasons. He has hit all of 14 home runs each season. His OPS+ in this time is 85. He strikes out a lot. Please no. This is a move the Yankees do not need to make.
My Take - Yes. Yes. Yes. And Yes. Spencer Jones has never faced a big league pitcher. Steven Kwan is a Gold Glove outfielder who can bat leadoff. The Yankees haven't had a leadoff man in a long time. This would be a tremendous move for the Yankees. Do it!
My Take - Another Yankee won another award. They keep winning awards. (There is no such thing as an anti-Yankees bias. This is proven again and again and again.)
My Take - Until the MLB disassociates itself from the betting companies, this will happen again and again. This is just the start of a trend that will destroy all the major sports.
My Take - I love stuff like this. Pure classic.
