While I can't argue with tonight's result, the 4-for-22 RISP continues a disturbing pattern. That's ok if you have 22 ABs with RISP, but that's unusual. All too usual is the 0-for-12 they pulled in the loss the other night. While eschewing the more vivid metaphor I'd otherwise be inclined to use here, I will simply note that this pattern is causing me excessive anxiety about the team's prospects.

Judge is definitely a big part of it. I loudly and clearly did not like the day off at the end of last season. I was not a fan of the day off in KC when he was on a multi game HR streak and had hit unbelievable HRs on each of the first 2 days in KC

that said, it is difficult to comprehend HOW, when he loses his mojo it can take so long to get it back. what is the switch that gets flipped and needs to get flipped back in the opposite direction?

when the ugly stretch began in the boston games, a HUGE part, likely the main part, of the problem was a HUGE increase…

I can and I will say that Max Fried is a savage, and I DO say it often!!

oh BTW, I may have mentioned before that I coached for 20+ years, and I was calling my players savages WAY WAY before (way way before meaning in the mid to late 90s) the savages in the box tirade. I did enjoy that one though))

From Compton to the Bronx.jpg

"A young man from Compton rises to the highest levels of baseball greatness.

Considered one of the classiest baseball players ever, this is Roy White's story, but it's also the story of a unique period in baseball history when the Yankees fell from grace and regained glory and the country dealt with societal changes in many ways."
