Schmidt had a shaky first inning. He also had Dominguez drop a ball you need to catch, allowing 2 of the 3 runs in. But the good: Schmidt went a 3rd time through the lineup without ant damage or shakiness.

I love seeing the team happy and celebrating. But I would have preferred they celebrated after they clinch the division and not just after clinching a post season berth. It also may not have been a good thing to celebrate like they did so late into the night and then have a day game the very next day. It would have been better if they celebrated like that when they have an off day the next day, or at the very least, if they clinch the division and the home field advantage and were just playing a meaningless game the next day, it would have been much better.
So now, the Yankees move on to Oakland. For the last time. Ever. (Unless a new expansion team is awarded to that city). So many memories of great Yankee moments there, particularly in the post season (Derek Jeter's "flip play", etc). It will be strange for the city of Oakland to no longer be part of Major League Baseball.
