Well that was fun. (It was, right?)

The Yankees were doomed. They were toast. They were getting clobbered.

And then they came all the way back.

Anthony Volpe homered twice.

Trent Grisham hit a grand slam in the top of the 9th.

I don't know weather to laugh or cry. This team is so frustrating and then they can be so exciting.

A big win.

A GRAND WIN!

Yankees 12, Braves 9

Graphic from Microsoft Copilot (I asked it to make a player who looks like Trent Grisham at a Grand Piano.)

When Warren has been bad, it's been since Pitch #1. Tonight, he just lost it in the 4th inning.

Loaisiga still doesn't look right. He might be physically healthy, but he's definitely lost lots of stuff, including his delivery in the rehab process. It's sad, I'm having flashbacks to when Joba came back from his TJS - he too was never the same.

Volpe, has had 2 decent games at the plate since the break, is this going to be 3rd year in a row, working by himself during the ASB, he comes out much better. What does that say about the Yankee coaching system?

I may not like Grisham as a player, but good for him having a career…

But, to me, at first glance, Bellinger in 2025 looks a lot like DJ in 2020.

Bellinger is 30 and FAR more athletic than DJ ever was. DJ was 32. Bellinger has had 4 seasons over 4 WAR and is headed for his 5th. he had a peak of nearly 9 WAR (almost a full point better than what Soto was in his best year ever last year). DJ had 2 seasons of 5 WAR and nothing else over 3

point is that Bellinger has always been a better overall player with a MUCH higher ceiling than DJ ever was. Bellinger has always been a more athletic player. a 5 year offer takes him to age 35. that feels m…

Dare I say Grisham has that clutch gene in him.

Grisham having a breakout season. He will cost to keep in FA. I like Bellinger better and think they should spend the extra bucks to extend him.

From Compton to the Bronx.jpg

"A young man from Compton rises to the highest levels of baseball greatness.

Considered one of the classiest baseball players ever, this is Roy White's story, but it's also the story of a unique period in baseball history when the Yankees fell from grace and regained glory and the country dealt with societal changes in many ways."
