The Yankees won 3-0 over the Chicago Cubs.

Luke Weaver became the new closer.

The Yankees pitchers allowed only one hit.

Oh no, they began a series with a win...

Full re-cap tomorrow morning at 6:00 a.m. from Tim Kabel.

Rice is raking again down in Triple-A. Scary is that Spencer Jones is up to 194 Ks, yet every other number is going to be close to last years. If its true that they changed his swing when he reported to AA this year after SpringTraining as it'sbeen reported, then whoever Ok'd that must be fired. But they'll find a way to make it the player's fault. They smoothed out Warren's delivery this year, how has that worked out? Oh, and nobody lost their job over what they did to Deivi in 2021.

I’m real happy for Weaver, who really seemed to appreciate the opportunity. He’s an easy guy to root for

Weaver has an amazing personality. He is very funny, sort of the "clubhouse comedian".

Holmes never got the 9th inning when he breezed through the 8th. Can Weaver go back to back days knowing he's going to throw 13+ pitches each day?

What a welcome site to see Weaver instead of Cardiac Clay on the mound in the 9th inning to close the game.

"A young man from Compton rises to the highest levels of baseball greatness.
